Course description
This online Masters course addresses the latest techniques and best practices in operative fracture management to deal with complex orthopedic trauma problems. The course includes many case presentations and group discussions moderated by experts in the field. Best evidence is presented through summary lectures.
Course structure
This
online course is delivered on 2 consecutive days from 12:00 to 16:00
CET (different modules each day consisting of presentations, small group
discussions, and other activities). Participants will join online from
home for 4 hours each day, and adequate break times will be integrated.
Goal of the course
The goal of this course is to enhance knowledge and decision making in managing difficult and complex cases. State-of-the-art techniques and approaches, best practices for treatment, and the management of complications will all be addressed at a high level.
Target participants
Participants must have completed the AO Trauma Basic Principles and Advanced Principles courses. They must be actively involved in orthopedic trauma management and preferably have at least 5 years of postresidency experience in trauma surgery. Participants must be willing to share their ideas and be able to communicate well in English.
