The AO has been carefully monitoring the global situation relating to COVID-19, and the potential impact on our event has changed significantly over the past few days, making it difficult to assess and mitigate any potential risks.

For AO Trauma, the well-being of our community is paramount, and any decisions regarding our World Meeting prioritize the health and safety of our members, partners, exhibitors, and staff.

That is why we have decided to postpone the AO Trauma World Meeting to a date later this year.

We cannot currently confirm the exact date but we will communicate as soon as possible.

This decision was not taken lightly. We evaluated the situation from a variety of standpoints: the health and well-being of all participants, travel disruption, the current situation in Spain, and the ability to forecast COVID-19's potential impact on the region and globally for the coming months.

We understand that this is a disappointment. We want to reassure you that all registration fees will be reimbursed in full for any participants who cannot attend later this year.

If you have already registered for the World Meeting, please contact for more information.

If you have other questions or concerns, please contact us at

We thank you in advance for your understanding.

While we are disappointed that we will be unable to host you in April, we hope to welcome you later this year.
