Goal of the course:
The goal of the AOTrauma course is to broaden the knowledge and comprehension of operative fracture treatment according to the level of education or specialty and to practice surgical approaches.
Target participants:
The AOTrauma Course Management of Fractures of the Hand and Wrist is targeted at experienced, certified orthopaedic and trauma surgeons with advanced knowledge and skills in operative fracture treatment who wish to broaden their knowledge in Hand and Wrist Fracture Management.
Course description:
The topics of the AOTrauma Course Management of Fractures of the Hand and Wrist will cover classification and principles of treatment in hand & wrist surgery as well as different techniques, surgical anatomy and approaches.
They will be taught in lectures followed by practical exercises on human specimens of the Anatomical Institute Graz.
During the dissections key steps are projected on the monitors.
Each work station is limited to 2 participants.
Faculty members and instructors are there to guide you through the exercises.
Instruments, gloves and gowns are provided.
